Dental Implants

Implants are often considered the gold standard for replacing a missing tooth. They've grown in popularity thanks to their longevity and their prognosis as a healthy, stable replacement.

Why patients choose implants

An implant is a permanent solution to fill an empty space — for cosmetic reasons, to improve daily function, and to prevent bite collapse. If multiple teeth are missing, a bridge or denture can be fabricated to attach to dental implants, giving excellent security and retention while chewing and speaking.

How treatment works

Our office works alongside some of the most talented specialists in the area. A consultation with a periodontist or oral surgeon determines whether you're a good candidate. The specialist then places the implant below the gumline, and we stay in communication throughout healing until you're ready for the restorative phase.

The restorative portion is the part above the gums — it's made to imitate the look of the missing tooth exactly.

Caring for an implant

Implants are made of titanium, a biocompatible material that's very friendly in the mouth. They can't decay — but if they aren't kept clean and maintained at dental visits, gum disease can still develop around the implant itself.
